Speculation is building for another transformative aviation manufacturing plant at Piedmont Triad International Airport with the Greensboro City Council scheduling a special economic-development project hearing on June 12.
JetZero, based in Long Beach, Calif., disclosed in April plans for a U.S. production facility with the potential for 10,000 employees with PTI confirmed as a finalist for the project.
The legal notice for the council’s public hearing is bare bones, listing just the time (11 a.m.) and site (Melvin Municipal building in downtown Greensboro).
There are no details on what the meeting is about, which can include the identity of the requesting company and typically includes pledges of job creation, capital investment and performance-based incentive package request.
