Police are set to call off the investigation into the Madeleine McCann case today, if nothing of significant interest is discovered.
The search of abandoned buildings near to Praia da Luz began on Tuesday, June 3, led by German and Portuguese police forces.
An investigation team has been witnessed employing a series of devices including diggers, strimmers, shovels and chainsaws in a bid to clear the area.
Wells, ruins, water tanks and around 21 pieces of land have been examined during this period, with samples of potential 'evidence' reportedly being taken from the scene.
