Momentum and confidence are two of the best qualities to have as a driver at Bowman Gray Stadium, and Bryan Sykes Jr. has both.

As the 18-year-old in the Street Stock Division can attest, it’s not always like that. He was disappointed the rainstorm came through last weekend that cancelled the races, because he's already had an early season win that helped him build some momentum.

It was a popular win throughout the pits in mid-April because of who is behind Sykes' team.

“Oh yeah, man, I'm pretty confident,” Sykes said about how his season is going. “This is the best car I've ever had with Billy (Gregg) and Nate (Gregg) staying behind me. Nate actually stepped down this year from (driving) Sportsman to help me crew chief, so he’s always been there when I need him.”
