A Fort Bend County district court judge who used profanity in his courtroom has been cleared of three of the four sanctions brought against him.
Judge Stephen Rogers was publicly admonished late last year by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct after he cursed at two defense attorneys and refused to let their client wear her jail uniform in court.
Those attorneys, Annie Scott and Michael Elliott, filed the complaints against Rogers that led to his admonishment. The commission also found that he failed to forward a motion to recuse himself to the court's administrative judge by the required deadline.
