ESCANABA — Residents across the Upper Peninsula may notice low-flying planes this month — but don’t fret; they are supposed to be there.
The U.S. Geological Survey, an agency within the Department of Interior, announced Friday that low-level plane flights would take place over the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin using geophysical technology for data collection.
