COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A couple handfuls of showers and storms in the forecast Thursday and Friday before the pattern becomes more unsettled again as we go throughout the weekend. It will be plenty warm and muggy.

Clouds and maybe a stray shower or mist to start Thursday with more sun mixing in toward the afternoon hours. Some spotty thundershowers are possible during the afternoon and evening. Rain coverage around 30% so not as widespread as yesterday nor will it be as breezy. Highs in the mid 80s.

Partly to mostly cloudy Thursday night with a few isolated showers possible. Some fog is possible early Friday. Lows mostly in the low 70s.

We’ll have a mix of sun and clouds Friday. Hotter with a 20-30% coverage of showers and storms during the afternoon and evening. Highs near 90 degrees.
