PERRYSBURG, Ohio — Two people were hospitalized following an early morning crash in Perrysburg Township.

The collision happened around 1:05 a.m. on Bayer Road near Lime City Road.

A press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol said 38-year-old Nusrattilo Artikov, of Toledo, failed to stop at a stop sign, went airborne over railroad tracks and off the road before hitting a tree and overturning twice.

He was taken to the hospital with what's described as life-threatening injuries.

A 20-year-old was also in the car and taken to the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
