|Hillsborough deputies are investigating a shooting in Lake Magdalene Thursday that left a man dead and a woman injured.

Deputies arrived at a home in the 500 block of Jeanal Place shortly after midnight following reports of a shooting, according to a news release from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. They found a woman outside the home with lower body injuries and a man dead inside with upper body trauma.

According to the sheriff’s office, the man had been living at the home with the woman for about six months and the two got into an argument that escalated, and the woman shot the man. The woman fell during the altercation and injured her leg.

A sheriff’s office spokesperson said Friday that detectives were still working to notify the man’s family before releasing his name.
