BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WV News) — Harrison County officials broke ground on the new $30 million, 40,000-square-foot Vandalia Health Mon Harrison Neighborhood Hospital Wednesday morning, with Vandalia Health leaders promising quick emergency service times and high-quality care.

The hospital is being constructed at Charles Pointe Crossing in Bridgeport. It has been modeled after the Vandalia Health Mon Marion Neighborhood Hospital in White Hall.

According to a press release, the new two-story hospital is slated to provide 24/7 emergency care, inpatient services and advanced imaging, as well as an on-site pharmacy and lab services.

The hospital will contain eight emergency treatment rooms and 10 private inpatient rooms. The second floor is set to be shell space in anticipation of future growth
