Police said two men were killed Wednesday night in separate shootings in Hell’s Kitchen and Chelsea — Manhattan neighborhoods where NYPD data shows homicides and shootings are rare.

According to NYPD officials, a man was fatally shot on the street on West 42nd Street between Eighth and Ninth avenues, down the block from the Port Authority Bus Terminal, around 10:45 p.m.

Officers found the man with a gunshot wound to his head and he was taken in critical condition to Bellevue Hospital, where he died, police said.

Officials said they have not made any arrests in the case, but were looking for a male who was wearing all-black clothing and fled the scene.
