Full list of pupils eligible for free school meals in England and how to apply

The list of pupils eligible for free school meals in England by local area has been released, based on the percentage and number of students currently qualified. The statistics vary from nearly half of the students in Manchester (47.2%) to about one in ten in Wokingham, Berkshire (10.2%) and just 3% on the Isles of Scilly.

The Department for Education has released this data, which applies to upper-tier local authorities, from January 2025. The list is arranged by the percentage of students eligible for free meals.
