BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The Dickinson community gathered Wednesday evening to honor the Wallace family’s service to the area.

Dave, Sue, Cory, D.J. and Jason Wallace all received the Stark County Spirit of Excellence Award for their years of service to the community.

Between them, the family has more than 100 years of experience as first responders, notably with the Dickinson Area Ambulance Service and law enforcement.

People spoke about how the Wallaces changed their lives for the better, including the Dickinson mayor, the Dickinson Police Department Deputy Chief and more.
