TECUMSEH, Mich — One person was hospitalized after what Tecumseh police described as a "suspicious shooting" in the early hours of Thursday morning.
In a press release, police said officers responded to a home in the 9000 block of North Union Street around 12:19 a.m. on a call for a shooting and injured person.
Police found an injured adult male with a gunshot wound to the face. First responders rendered aid at the scene and transported the victim to the hospital in what was described as "serious, but stable condition."
According to police, they determined the shooting occurred around 12:15 a.m. in the area of South Evans and Pottawatamie streets. The circumstances leading up to the shooting were described by police as "unclear" but are considered suspicious.
