POTTERVILLE, Mich. (WLNS) -- This year's "Superhero"-themed Gizzard Fest has a roster of activities for attendees.
The festival's name capitalizes on the well-known local restaurant and event sponsor Joe's Gizzard City. The event begins this evening and lasts through Saturday night, culminating with a fireworks show at Potterville High School.
Brandy Miller, Planning and Zoning Administrator and Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Potterville, says that the beverage tent where bands perform is always packed for popular returning acts like 90s cover band Be King Rewind.
The gizzard-eating contest starts at 3 p.m. Saturday, with check-in at 2:30 p.m. It's open to the first 12 applicants. Historically, there have been a mix of repeat challengers and newbies, all of whom hurry to eat t
