UPDATE: 66-year-old Kimberly Ann Charlton is in jail following the death of 72-year-old David Alan Charlton. Cedar Falls police say they were called about a person being shot during a domestic dispute on Newland drive at 6:32 pm.

David was found dead.

Kimberly is now facing first degree murder charges.

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KWWL) - Cedar Falls Police are investigating a death after someone was found deceased inside a home Wednesday evening.

The incident happened west of Pheasant Ridge Golf Course. Officers arrived in the area of Columbine Drive and Newland Drive around 6:30 p.m. for a domestic dispute. When they arrived, they found one person dead.

The person's identity or cause of death has not been released.
