GREENVILLE, S.C. —

Greenville police have announced an arrest after an assault and gunfire at Haywood Mall on Wednesday.

Police said about 5:30 p.m. they got a call about a group of juveniles assaulting an employee from one of the restaurants in the food court.

After the fight, the group went into the parking lot where the assault continued and one person fired a gun, police said. No injuries were reported.

While officers were responding to the mall they said they pulled over a car on Woodruff Road and found a gun in the car.

As a result of their investigation, 18-year-old Ny’Lan Harris was arrested and charged with breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature.
