QUINCY (WGEM) - In February, the Paddle Up Pickleball Club announced that an indoor facility would be coming to the Gem City.

Wednesday marked the official groundbreaking ceremony for Quincy’s soon-to-be newest attraction next to Wavering Park.

According to officials from Paddle Up Pickleball Club, they said that construction is expected to be done around early November.

The facility will feature at least 10 indoor courts, outdoor playing spaces, and many other amenities. The Paddle Up Pickleball Club is based out of St. Louis and was brought to Quincy through the help of Tri-State natives Nathan and Amy Smith.

Organizers believe this will be extremely beneficial to the Gem City.
