IMPD Chief Bailey joins in on NBA Finals bets with challenge for OKC chief

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The NBA Finals bets aren’t just for Indiana and Oklahoma’s political leaders.

Chief Chris Bailey with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department joined in on the fun Thursday, posting a video to X with his challenge for Oklahoma City Police Chief Ron Bacy.

“How about a little Finals fun? Let’s raise the stakes,” Bailey joked while standing inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

“The loser has to wear the winning team’s jersey when we see each other later this month at the major city chiefs meeting AND donate to the winner’s favorite charity.”

Someone off-screen then hands the chief a #0 Haliburton jersey. Bailey, with a grin, taunts, “I think you’ll look good in blue and gold.”

“Go, Pacers! ” Bailey signed off.

Chief Bacy had not responded to Bailey’s bet as of 9 a.
