KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- An investigation is underway after six people were hospitalized, including multiple children, following a two-car crash in Kansas City Thursday morning.

According to the Kansas City Fire Department, just after 8 a.m., crews were called to the area of Linwood Boulevard and Bruce R. Watkins Drive on reports of a crash.

Investigations revealed that six patients were taken to a hospital for evaluation, four of whom were children.

KCFD said no serious injuries were reported and the scene was cleared.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
