A weather front is stalled over the region, and that means Tri-State residents will see numerous rounds of showers and thunderstorms through at least Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Expect showers and storms on Thursday

While several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected Thursday, widespread severe weather is not anticipated.

"Later (Thursday) afternoon, a few storms could have a bit of gusty wind," the National Weather Service said in a briefing. "All of them will be producing heavy rain but generally are moving quickly enough to prevent significant flooding issues."
