JPMorgan Chase urged the Manhattan federal court to dismiss claims of mismanaging its employee healthcare plan, saying a trio of current and former workers couldn’t challenge their healthcare premiums and out-of-pocket costs, when they ultimately received the healthcare benefits they were promised.
The banking giant, represented by Goodwin Procter, argued that the workers seeking to represent a class of JPMorgan employees enrolled in its healthcare plan hadn’t suffered the type of concrete injuries required to support the lawsuit. The employees had signed up for benefits and received them, and were just speculating on how much their premiums and costs could have been, the bank argued.
