Three losses and a rainout make for a gloomy day in Dodgers minor league action.
Player of the day
Edgardo Henriquez is pitching again after healing from his mysterious off-the-field foot injury in spring training. As the Dodgers are presently shopping at the dollar store for relief pitchers, and pitchers are going down like flies, a return of Henriquez could be helpful. He threw a pitch at 102.3 mph, so his arm is fully locked and loaded. On Wednesday he needed eleven pitches to retire all three batters he faced. The first batter flied out to center on the first pitch, a 100.2 mph fastball. The second batter popped out to shortstop on a 101.1 mph fastball on a 3-1 count. And the final hitter struck out swinging on a 101.8 mph fastball.
