With a weakening of upslope flow this morning, there may be a better opportunity for sunshine, according to Gazette news partner KOAA, and the National Weather Service.

"This will provide additional fuel for thunderstorms to develop this afternoon," KOAA Meteorologist Alan Rose said. "Storms will begin to pulse up in the mountains around the lunch hour before reaching I-25 between 1-2 pm."

In the afternoon, severe thunderstorm threats will increase compared to yesterday with some potential impacts to outdoor activities this afternoon.
