GREENWOOD, S.C. —

A man is facing charges after authorities in Greenwood, South Carolina, say he shot a victim multiple times during a dispute.

Jaylan Keshawn Carter is charged with attempted murder.

Greenwood police said just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to Truett Avenue about a shooting.

When officers arrived, they said the victim had already been taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The investigation showed that during a dispute Carter fired multiple rounds at the victim, hitting him several times.
