SOPERTON, Ga. — Three people were arrested and charged after allegedly beating a Soperton man unconscious, who they thought had stolen from them, and then sexually assaulting him in a wooded area of Toombs County, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation .

Dean Tanner, 30, of Tarrytown, Lauren Bailey, 43, of Vidalia and Jeff Sconyers, 51, of Vidalia were all arrested and charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault, the GBI said in a press release.

According to the victim, the three physically assaulted him at a home on Tarrytown Road in Soperton before taking him to a home in Vidalia where the beating continued. The Treutlen County Sheriff's Office asked the GBI to investigate on May 28.
