MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - CrimeStoppers is reporting that a suspect is in custody in connection with a child’s shooting.

In late March, officers responded to a shooting call at the Ridgecrest Apartments on Woodcliff Drive in Frayser.

Officers arrived to find two victims; one was a man, and the other was a six-year-old boy inside a nearby apartment. The bullet that hit him came through the apartment wall.

MPD also found video footage from the apartment complex with clear images of the man they said was responsible.

Later on April 15, CrimeStoppers got a call from a citizen who had recognized the suspect as Antonio Hughes.

He was arrested and, during questioning, admitted he had gotten into a shoot-out with another man over an $80 marijuana transaction.
