(WHTM)-- Apollo America announced the recall of around 50,000 combination smoke and carbon monoxide detectors sold exclusively at Vivint.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the detectors can malfunction and fail to alert owners of a fire or carbon monoxide leak, which could result in carbon monoxide poisoning or death.
So far, no incidents have been reported.
The CPSC said the recalled product was sold in white and has the recall number 51000-600. The detector's font features a "replace by" date ranging from June 2034 to October 2034.
