Fresno, Calif.-based Community Health System has eliminated 285 clinical nursing supervisor positions as part of a broader restructuring that leaders say is necessary to meet shifting patient care and staffing needs. In March, the health system sent a notice to local officials sharing plans to cut 180 nurse supervisor roles at Community Regional Medical Center, 19 positions at Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital and 86 positions at Clovis Community Medical Center, according to GV Wire and The Fresno Bee.
