A newborn died at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in March after falling from a crib and suffering head injuries, according to a Franklin County Coroner’s report obtained by The Columbus Dispatch.

The infant, Ellieana Peyton of Mount Perry, Ohio, was born on March 4 and passed away on March 31.

The cause of death was attributed to a congenital heart defect worsened by trauma from the fall.

Her death was ruled accidental.

A verified GoFundMe campaign created in March raised over $20,000 for a baby with the same name and date of death.

The campaign stated the infant was receiving care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for a heart condition.
