BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Wallace Foundation and Southern University will host three youth football camps in June to teach kids the fundamentals of the sport and provide a chance to learn from former players and coaches.

The 2nd annual Wallace Foundation Youth Football Camp is taking over the turf this weekend. This will be the first camp since the passing of Sean Wallace, a legendary Southern University coach and player, who passed away in February after a long battle with cancer.

The one-day event begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, at Glenn Oaks High School. Kids between the ages of six and 12 will learn the fundamentals of football and have a chance to win a PlayStation. Lunch will be provided. This event is free for elementary and middle school students.
