RICHARDSON, Texas — Former Dallas Cowboys player Greg Hardy was arrested in Richardson on a charge of assault of a family member, according to jail records.
Hardy was booked into the Richardson jail at 2:29 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of assault causing bodily injury to a family member, according to records.
His bond has not been set yet. More details about the case were not released. Richardson police officials confirmed the arrest but said they were waiting on Hardy's arraignment to release an arrest warrant affidavit.
It's another legal incident for Hardy, who played one season for the Cowboys before stepping away from football and becoming a mixed-martial arts fighter. Hardy's stint with Dallas was marred by the controversy of his signing. Hardy was playing for the Panthers in 2014
