HOPEWELL, Va. (WWBT) - A suspect was arrested after a man and a dog were shot to death Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to the shooting scene in the 1500 block of Piper Square Drive around 4:15 p.m.
The victim, identified Thursday as Endraqus Thomal Range, had several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. His dog also sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
The suspect, 21-year-old Dayon Elijah Williams, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm while in commission of a felony, and animal cruelty.
Williams is being held at Riverside Regional Jail without bond.
