GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - The fate of the downtown Green Bay coal piles is in the hands of the Brown County supervisors.

As of Tuesday evening, Brown County officials announced they reached a tentative agreement with C. Reiss Company to move the coal piles to the former Pulliam Power Plant site. Tonight at a special board meeting, Brown County supervisors will decide whether or not to approve the deal.

Brown County officials haven't released details on the terms of the agreement at this time. They will have a news conference at 6 p.m. just ahead of the supervisors' vote.

The coal piles have sat on the banks of the Fox River near the Mason Street Bridge for about 125 years. Despite several previous efforts, the two sides haven't been able to reach a deal.
