The Eisenhower Exxon in Essex County began selling New Jersey Lottery tickets way back in 1995 when Hall of Famer Martin Brodeur and the New Jersey Devils were en route to winning their first Stanley Cup (Derek Jeter was also just a Yankee rookie that year).

It wasn't until a few weeks ago though that the store finally sold a major prize-winning lottery ticket.

“Now, we can say we’re a lucky store," Jack Atmeh, who owns the store with lifelong friend Robert Wakile, told the New Jersey Lottery recently.
