BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The mother accused of starving her son to death in 2022 pleaded guilty on Thursday.
Sabrina Lynn Loredo, the mother of 13-year-old Jesse Harrison Jr., agreed to a plea deal and was sentenced to 20 years in prison to be served concurrently.
Instead of taking her chances in trial, Loredo pled guilty to one count of manslaughter and three counts of injury to a child for the death of her son.
Jesse Harrison Jr. died in January of 2021 after being taken to the hospital with signs of malnutrition and bruises all over his body.
Loredo is now the third family member to be convicted in this case. Jesse's grandmother and another relative are already serving prison time.
Though the case was originally out of Willacy County, it was moved to Cameron County, whe
