A 15-year-old boy died after he was pinned between two cars in the parking lot of his California private school, police say.
The boy was walking in the parking lot of Campbell Hall School in the neighborhood of Studio City just after 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said in an email to McClatchy News.
He walked between two cars waiting in the carpool line , school officials and Los Angeles police Lt. Matthew Bielski told KABC.
As he made his way toward his father’s car, a Rivian SUV struck him , pinning him between the two cars, police told KNBC.
“The vehicle that the student walked in between moved forward,” Bielski said at a news conference, KNBC reported.
It’s unclear why the SUV moved, Bielski reportedly said.
