DERBY, Conn — Two schools in Derby were temporarily placed on lockdown after a school bus driver found bullets on the bus Thursday morning.

Derby police said the school bus driver found two bullets on a school bus at the middle school and high school, which share a campus. All of the students were off the bus at the time.

The two schools were placed on lockdown, but it has since been lifted.

Police are investigating this incident.

FOX61 has reached out to the superintendent's office for comment.
