CARY, N.C. (WNCN) — The fight for the $1 million prize continues at the TST World Championship. Event organizers prepared for keeping the games going rain or shine as the men’s tournament entered round three and the women’s kicked off Thursday.
Fans watched from soaking bleachers as teams fought for spots in the next round of the six-day 7 v. 7 tournament. While some people were local, others traveled from across the world.
“I flew in from Sweden. It’s my third year here. I moved last year. I wasn’t going to miss the tournament. I meet up with friends here every year. They came down from DC. I came down from Sweden. I’ll be here next year,” Brenden Johnson told CBS17.
