HOMEWOOD, Ala. —

A power outage at Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital is affecting some procedures Thursday, according to the hospital.

In a statement , the hospital said, "Out of an abundance of caution, EMS crews are temporarily being diverted to other facilities. Some elective procedures are being delayed and may need to be rescheduled. Patients who need to reschedule should contact their physician’s office."

Alabama Power crews are at the hospital working on repairs.

No estimated time was given for power to be restored.
