CEDAR FALLS, IA (KWWL)- Court documents have revealed what led up to a deadly dispute between a husband and wife in Cedar Falls Wednesday.

Kimberly Charlton, 66, has been charged with First Degree Murder in the death of her husband, David Charlton, 72. She's being held on a $1,000,000 bond in the Black Hawk County Jail.

Police responded to a home along Newland Drive near Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls around 6:30 PM Wednesday, June 4. According to a criminal complaint, Kimberly Charlton called to report she had just shot her husband in the back while he was chasing the dog.
