Former NFL linebacker Jonathan Vilma was arrested for driving with a suspended license, NFL reporter Andy Slater reported on Wednesday (June 4).

Vilma, 43, who just completed his fifth season calling games for FOX Sports , was reportedly stopped by police because his tag was expired.

"SLATER SCOOP: Former Miami Hurricanes star Jonathan Vilma was arrested on Wednesday afternoon in Miami for driving with a suspended license, sources tell me. He was initially stopped because his tag was expired," Slater wrote on his X account.

Vilma was selected by the New York Jets at No. 12 overall in the 2004 NFL Draft and was the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year during his first season, as well as a Pro Bowler and the NFL leader in solo and combined tackles in 2005. The former University of M
