UP Health System – Marquette (Mich.) has appointed Meg McConnell, MSN, RN, as chief nursing officer. Ms. McConnell joined the hospital in early 2023 and was most recently assistant CNO, according to a June 4 press release. She has more than 10 years of experience in nursing leadership, including roles in critical care, emergency medicine and operational oversight.

Prior to joining UP Health System, she was director of multiple service lines at Clyde, N.C.-based Haywood Regional Medical Center. She has also held leadership roles at several hospitals in Ohio.
