WASHINGTON -- The honeymoon appears to be over between President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk. On Thursday, Musk mocked the president by reposting a tweet sent by Trump in 2013 criticizing Republicans at the time for wanting to increase the debt ceiling.

Musk then linked to a 2012 Trump tweet that suggested members of Congress should lose their jobs if the budget isn’t balanced.

The reposts are part of an ongoing effort by Musk to undermine Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” which passed the House of Representatives last month. Over the last several days, Musk has tweeted or shared numerous posts criticizing Trump specifically and Republicans over the bill.
