COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - One person was killed after a crash in the Midlands on Thursday, according to authorities.
The Lexington Police Department said the wreck happened at around 7:30 a.m. in the area of South Lake Drive and Interstate 20.
Police said a Toyota got off the interstate on Exit 55 when it crossed into multiple lanes of traffic while leaving the off-ramp. An Acrua on South Lake Drive then collided with the Toyota.
The passenger of the Toyota was taken to a hospital, where they later died. No further information on the deceased was immediately released. Both drivers reportedly had minor injuries, according to police.
