AKRON, Ohio (WJW) -- Shootings were reported in two locations just two miles apart in Akron and within minutes of each other early Thursday, June 5.
The first happened just before 12:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Grant Street, according to a statement from police.
Witnesses said more than a dozen shots were fired before several vehicles fled the area. A witness transported a 38-year-old man who suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the hospital.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit and the city police Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene.
No arrests have been made.
