CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte man was hospitalized earlier this week after he was reportedly stabbed near a Planet Fitness location.

The narrative report from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said the victim was stabbed in the parking lot of the Central Avenue location near Albemarle Road on Tuesday, around 10:47 p.m. He was taken to Novant Health's Mint Hill emergency room off Albemarle Road for treatment.

CMPD's report didn't include details about any potential suspects.
