Texas baseball outfielder Tommy Farmer IV entered the transfer portal on Thursday, according to multiple reports.

Farmer no longer appears on the Longhorns' online roster.

The sophomore from Santa Monica, Calif., spent most of the season as the Longhorns' starting left fielder. He finished with a .249 batting average and a .710 OPS. He hit one home run while driving in 25 runs and stealing seven bases.

He'll have two seasons of eligibility to spend at his next stop.

Farmer is the first regular contributor from the 2025 Longhorns to enter the portal. Several young players who struggled to see the field in 2025 announced their intent to test the transfer portal waters earlier this week. Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.
