LUBBOCK, Texas -- The Lubbock Animal Shelter has been in desperate need of foster volunteers, especially after they received nine different litters of puppies Monday.
You may be one of the people considering fostering these animals but not know if you have the time, resources or knowledge to do so.
So, we reached out to LAS to see what exactly it is they're looking for, and what they really need is anyone who's "willing to open their home."
A majority of the animals they need to foster are ones that need medical fosters. Puppies or nursing dogs, like the litters taken in on Monday, or animals that are recovering from an injury or illness need someone to take them to veterinary appointments, give them their medicine and give them a safe space while they transition or while they heal.
