OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Homeland Security told First Alert 6 on Thursday that the man arrested over the weekend in a West Omaha brunch restaurant during business hours had a previous encounter with immigration enforcement officials in 2022.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in an emailed statement to First Alert 6 that Romeo Edilzar Yaxcal-Tiul, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, was working under a fraudulent name and Social Security number. She also said he had the 2022 encounter with immigration officers involved false documents.
