Two teenagers have been jailed for the "brutal" killing of an elderly dog walker in a park in September of last year.

In April, a 15-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl were unanimously convicted of manslaughter at Leicester Crown Court.

Bhim Kohli, 80, had been walking his dog Rocky just yards away from his home on the evening of September 1, 2024.

As he was exiting Franklin Park, the defenceless man was pounced on by a balaclava-clad boy.

He was racially abused, punched, kicked, and slapped in the face with a shoe while a young girl laughed and filmed the act on her phone.

Mr Kohli was left on the ground as his attackers fled the scene. His children found him severely injured a short while later.
